COVID-19 Testing Frequently Asked Questions
Testing is available by appointment for adults and children at our main location at 1601 Golf Course Road.
Anyone showing any of the following COVID-19 symptoms should call 218-326-7344 to make an appointment for testing:

Fever or chills

Cough (new or worsened)

Shortness of breath or trouble breathing

New muscle or body aches

New headache
-
New loss of taste or smell

Sore throat
-
Congestion
-
New and unexplained nausea or vomiting (throwing up)

Diarrhea (loose stools)

New and unexplained feeling of being tired or weak
All asymptomatic patients (including those who had close contact with someone with COVID-19, people traveling to somewhere requiring a negative test and patients who are scheduled for surgery) are able to get tested for COVID-19. Patients should call 218-326-7344 to schedule an appointment for testing.
When you arrive at Grand Itasca, follow the signs for COVID-19 testing. Parking is located near the Emergency Department. Once you arrive to the COVID-19 Testing parking area, please call the phone number on the signs and wait for staff to tell you to come in. Enter the Emergency Department doors and follow signs for testing.
People who test negative will receive their results in MyChart within 3 days or by mail in 7 to 10 days. People who test positive will receive a phone call within 3 days.
