I believe that health care should be about the patient. Each patient has a different perspective and a different expectation about what they need from health care. Patient’s also have different resources and different support systems. There is not one answer that is right for everybody. Having the flexibility to take this into account is so important! Whether dealing with routine care or major health problems, I feel that caring for patients should involve gathering information, educating the patient and coming to a decision on a collaborative care plan that is reasonable to us both.
